As with any Harvest Moon game, the first step is to create your
Character, choosing a Name, choosing gender and then your Birthday.
The game begins on the 1st of Spring at 10.00 a.m.
You
are met at the crossroads and told some pertinent facts, including
'North of here there is a mountain you can climb if you wish to see some
great views. To the east, nothing.... The person leaves but you hear
some one crying and need to go East in fact to meet your first Harvest
Sprite who is named Rowan. This indeed proves to be the site of your
new home and farm.
He tells you: 'When you want to farm, switch to 'Farm Mode'. You'll want to remember that.'
Tap the button in the lower left to switch between modes. Use Talk Mode for conversations and Farm Mode for work.
How to Move: You will move towards the blue icon. You can either tap on the scrreen or drag your finger across it.
Rowan:
First you need to clear the weeds to prepare the field. When you're in
Farm Mode, just tap on a square with a weed in it For now, please
clear the six squares with weeds in them. Tap the icon on the lower
left of the screen to change modes.
Now it's time to
till. Then your field will be ready. Tap a square you want to till and
you'll be able to plant stuff in it. I'll give you a hoe. Use it to
till the same six squares you just cleared.
You did
it! Now your field is ready! The soil looks fluffy and warm. Now you
can plant seeds! Tap on tilled soil that doesn't have anything planted
on it and you'll be able to plant seeds here. After sleecting the seeds
you want to use, you'll equip them. When you want to equip different
seeds, touch the icon in he bottom right to change them. Now plant
these Potato Seeds. Please! I'm counting on you!
Blossom then appears. Blossom is a Pink Harvest Sprite. Rowan is Yellow.
Rowan:
You need to use a watering can on the crops you just planted. Take
this watering can. It has plenty of water, so try watering your crops.

Incidentally, you begin with five hearts of Energy. when you finish watering, you will have lost one of them.
The Blue Harvest Sprite Dewy appears. Dewy tells you to refill the Watering Can at the Well when it is empty.
Rowan: Once your crops have ripened, you can harvest them. Just tap on a crop to harvest it.
Your
Task and Goal now is to revitalise the Farm. The Sprites take you now
to the Sprite Tree... it is weak and the Sprites suggest you ask the
Harvest Goddess how to revive it.
Rowan: From here, we go north at the crossroads and up the Mountain. Her Spring is at that peak!
You find yourself there automatically and meet her.
Harvest
Goddess: So will you help restore the memories of this place,
Freyashawk? All you have to do is make a life for yourself of your own
choice and make plenty of memories! As you get to know the townspeople,
their memories of the farm may return...
You can view the Memories by selecting the Menu. Be sure to check it from time to time.
Essentially,
each time you experience what I used to call an 'Introduction Event'
with a Character, you will receive a 'Memory' and a Gift such as Seeds
or Ore.
Rowan: Want to make friends with every one?
Then take part in events, give gifts... stuff like that! To give a
gift, all you have to do is equip the item you want to give, then talk
to the person.
In the upper middle of the screen are
hearts that show your Stamina. if you lose all your hearts, you'll
faint. So go home and sleep when you get low on Stamina. It's not good
to stay up late at night too ioften. You won't be able to wake up
early the next day.
The bookshelf in your house has books you can consult if you don't understand something.
He suggests you visit the town: YOu can get to town by going west from the mountain at the crossroads.
