Thursday, 16 Summer: Gilbert's Event

I finally am able to find Gilbert at the southwest corner of my farm on Thursday morning... went there at 8.00 a.m. after harvesting my first Durum Wheat.

Gilbert:  Oh-ho, Freyashawk.  I hope my unannounced visit does not give you fright!  Your farm is a delight and being here simply feels right.  A memory of fishing here emerges, a picture of my grandpa into my mind surges...  But a recollectiion of humble events, yet deeply precious to me were those moments...  You are a person of mysterious infulence, and it must be for some reason that you settled hence.  What drew you down this road, and made you choose this abode?

That's my secret.
To restore memories.
Nothing in particular.

To restore memories.

Gilbert:  That does make sense of it all, that this was your special call.  Through you my own lost memories found repair.  And memories are... the proof a thing was really there.  Forgetting robs you of the knowing,, of something about which you care.  What i would ask of you, is that you remember me too.  For that would prove my own existence is true.
Memory of the Traveler

If I chose:  That's my secret.

Gilbert:  I thought that might be your reply.  Better to admit it 's secret than to lie!  And memories are... the proof a thing was really there... etc.

Memory of the Traveler
Got Onyx

If I chose:  Notrhing in particular.

Gilbert:  That cannot be, for a forgotten place was restored under your care.  And memories are... etc.

If I sell 6 Red Peppers to Sam, he will now sell Red Pepper Seeds.  If I sell only 5 Red Peppers, he will not sell them... I do believe I probably shipped one when I harvetsed the first though, so the required total may be 7.

Now I only have Hunter's last two events to trigger.  Luke is in the Restaurant at 11.30 a.m. today so I give him an Egg.

I wanted to build the Giant House but I can't... have 13 Wool and 9 Great Wool but you cannot combine them!  You have to have 20 of a single type.

Tabitha is to the right of my Animal Barn after 6.00 p.m. tonight.  I speak to her and have her event.

Tabitha:  Ah!  It's my favourite human, Freyashawk!  Alreday finished with work?  Or still bustling along?  I've really been hitting my magic books recently!  ARen't you impressed by my diligence?  In fact, Gareth has been teaching me some things.  He drives me up a wall, but he does know his spells. Not that I'm admitting defeat to him in our wizardry showdown!  At the end, I will be victorious!  I'm doing my witchly best, so I expect you to assist me in any way humanly possible!

My choices now:

You can count on me!
I'd rather not.
No way!  Not a chance!

You can count on me!

Tabitha:  Mweh-heh-heh, thank you, Freyashawk.  That attitude is what I find so... endearing in you.  But!  But!  You must be careful!  I wouldn't watn you falling into the hands of any WICKED witches!  ... I love the town!  And I love this place too!  That goes without saying!  I want to help make this a place where every one lives with a smile!  Whether I beat Gareth or not!  I'm going to study magic harder than ever!  And use it to help as many people as I can!  I mean, I AM the World's Number oNe Witch after all!  Mwa-ha-ha-ha!  But here's the thing... You're in a different category from the other humans, Freyashawk!  You always get priority attention if you ever need my magic!  Because you're a wonderful friend!

The Good Witch
Got: Crystal

If I had chosen:  I'd rather not!

Tabitha:  Don't say that!  Why would you turn down the World's Number One Witch like that/  ... I love the town!  And I love this place too!  that goes without saying!  I want to help...etc.

If I had chosen: No way!  Not a chance!

Tabitha:  Ugh, do you have to be so dramatic about your -- totally unjustified, I might add -- reluctance...?  ... I love the town!  And I love... etc.

Only at 8.00 p.m. do you find Andrea on Thursday night outside the Bar, Hanna is in the Square with Gilbert, but he is near the Bell of Memories instead of his usual spot and Emily is up on the path to the north...
